    Thorntree River Lodge

Dear Sarah A BIG Thank-you from all of us…we had a superb time at Thorntree River Lodge…our every whim was catered for and we will definitely be going back one day! The Gluten-free diet requested was really, really good and we found Anant (the camp manager) a great host. The fully inclusive package, including drinks/coffee meant we all felt we received extraordinary value for our beleaguered Rand. You too, did a wonderful job and we will also be using you again in the future! Thank-you so, so much! Regards Carolyn Callow

  • Liz Edwards at Hoyo Hoyo

    Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge

Hi Lucrecia Just thought I’d give you some feedback about our long weekend trip you booked for me at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge from 11-14 july. It was amazing! The accommodation is very comfortable, the setting is tranquil and isolated from the rest of the park, the game spotting was magnificent, the massage very therapeutic. The food was absolutely sumptuous – they fed us all the time, such a huge variety and incredibly well prepared. That chef is a miracle worker. The game drives were fantastic – a very knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour and the morning coffee and evening sundowners were great fun. We saw a huge variety of game and they ensured we were warm by providing quilted ponchos to wear on the game drives. But the thing that makes Hoyo Hoyo unique is the personal care and attention to detail. The staff went so far above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable. They took the time to get to know each guest, served us in every way possible, like we were royalty, always with a lively sense of humour and interest. On the second evening when we were sitting around the fire after dinner, they all came in singing “Happy birthday” to my husband, made a speech, brought us champagne and the chef had even baked him a cake! It was amazing. On our last evening, we came back from the game drive and went to our room, to find the whole rondawel decorated in rose petals and candles, bed turned down and covered in rose petals, a hot bubble bath run with candles and champagne. It was really something very special. Being such a small exclusive lodge, we met the few other guests and made good friends and all were incredibly impressed by the food, the setting and the huge amount of personal care and effort that the staff put into our stays. What a lovely team they have there. Thank you for booking such a great holiday for me and for arranging the extras. It was a really memorable break. I would heartily recommend Hoyo Hoyo to anyone and am dying to find an excuse to go back again! Many thanks Liz Edwards

The Andaman Seaview Hotel, Phuket Thailand

Dear Nicky I must tell you that we had such a wonderful time in Thailand, came back last night. Your arrangements were fantastic – all went very smoothly- the flights with Emirates were great, the agents Tour East also very organised and the hotel… The Andaman Seaview Hotel , absolutely wonderful and such great value. The staff were outstanding. I would also say that Karon is the place to stay at Phuket and Patong is far far too commercialised and busy and full of hype, pubs, bars, people throng , activity and so so busy, thus Karon and Kata are lovely, and I am very pleased we were in Karon. But I am sure that you have been there! The package was also very competitive and Thailand is really affordable per the SA rand. Thanks again Nicky, all was fantastic, thank so much for all your assistance. Kind regards

We saw a wonderful variety of game and our guide, Strike, was amazing and his knowledge was outstanding! Thank you again Sharon and Rob Dey

    Old Phuket, Thailand

Hello Giselle We have just returned from 12 nights at the Old Phuket, Karon Beach (Serene wing). Had to let you know that it was Fabulous, fabulous. Our experience of the hotel was more 4* than 3*. Facilities were more than adequate. Rooms very spacious, stunning view of pool, grounds and mountain behind. Full, large bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer, no problems with water temp or pressure, flat screen tv and dvd player, slippers, brollies, safe, coffee/tea station, bar fridge, excellent air con which we could set as low as 13C (which you need!!!) Serviced and stocks replenished every day, and our bed linen was changed 3 times in 12 days and bath and bed towels replaced every day! Hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, staff always friendly, service always with a smile. Breakfast fresh and varied enough not to get boring after 12 mornings. Perfect location. Just can't fault it.  The most amazing value for money. We would return in a heartbeat! It is not 5*, but it is so much more than we expected. A real gem. To top it all, we had 6 days of sunshine, 5 overcast days, and only 1 day of non- stop rain. No complaints. We did note though, that Thailand is no longer "cheap" for South Africans. The falling rand and strengthening Baht, made most things not worth buying, and western food cost us what we would pay in a similar restaurant in Cape Town.  Still much cheaper than Europe though! Kind Regards, Ronel
  • The Kingdom Hotel

    Kingdom Hotel, Vic Falls

Dear Sarah, Just thought I will drop a line to thank you for your assistance in arranging our trip to the Kingdom hotel. We truly had a wonderful time and will not hesitate to go again, however, this time we plan to take the children with us, hopefully very soon. Once again thank you for your professionalism and expertise in arranging everything to make our trip so memorable. Keep it up. Warm regards Thomas Hi Antonetta I just wanted to give you some feedback on our trip to Vic Falls and Chobe.  We had an amazing time and have to say that the people of Shearwater were absolutely fantastic.  They were helpful, efficient and nothing was a bother to them.  The Kingdom Hotel was likewise amazing from the staff, hotel itself, food etc was totally top notch.  Leaving Vic we were worried that Chobe would be an anti-climax but not at all. The hotel was perfect and again the staff, food, game drive, cruise – all totally amazing.  I can totally recommend all these facilities without hesitation. Thanks again for all your assistance and I’m sure we will be using you guys again in the future.   Kind regards, NATALIE
