Travel Documents and Visas
A valid passport is required for all international and over-border travel, which must be valid for at least 6 months after your return from overseas and have at least 2 blank pages in the passport for visa stamping purposes.
South African passport holders may enter Thailand without a visa and are permitted to stay no longer than 30 days. However, should you wish to stay for more than 30 days not exceeding 60 days, you may apply for a tourist visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Pretoria.
In certain cases, foreign passport holders require re-entry or departure permits and it is advised to contact the relevant authorities to check this prior to departure.
